Delivery terms and conditions

1. General

The Lumous Story Online Shop is operated by The Lumous Story (The Lumous Story, Y-1514549-9).  Anyone who makes orders in the online store must be at least 18 years old person, registered business or association. Customers must accept these general terms to be able to make any orders in the online store. For all customers these contract terms, consumer protection legislation and Finnish law are applied. The Lumous Story reserves the right to change these terms, conditions and prices. Changes are applied when the changes are published in the online store.

2. Placing an order

Product orders are made in the online store by adding the desired product to the basket, choosing preferred delivery method and then making the respective payment at the checkout. Our order process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your order to us. Please take time to read, check and amend any errors before submitting. When ordering customer must prove the name, e-mail address, delivery address and telephone number. Customer information is confidential. The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and is required to notify the change of details without delay.

3. Shipping, delivery methods and delivery time

The price of the ordered product is the price displayed at the time of ordering at The Lumous Story online store. Prices include Finland’s value added tax VAT of 24%. The shipping costs are added to the total price of the products. The amount of shipping costs depends on the delivery method.

Finland: Post Priority Letter 3,90€ (available if orders can be delivered as letter, for example one neclace or three bracelettes)

Finland: Helposti-code package 5,90€ pick up from Post office (any orders over letter size, weight up to 35kg)

Europe: Post Economy Letter 3,90€ / (one piece of jewellery)

Outside Europe: Post Economy Letter 8€ / (one piece of jewellery)

We always deliver our orders as quickly as possible. Most deliveries will be sent within 1 to 4 business days of the order arrival. Letter to Finland 1 to 4 working days. Helposti-code package to Finland for 1 to 4 business days. Economy letter shipped to Europe 7 to 16 business days. Outside Europe 7 to 21 business days per country. The Lumous Story is not responsible for the delays of delivery agent. The online shop shows the number of products available, and we always try to keep the storage balances up-to-date. However, if the product you subscribed has temporarely finished we will notify you as soon as possible when the item is available to deliver. Over 100€ orders in Finland will be free of delivery charge. Offer is not valid for deliveries outside Finland.

4. Payment and shipping

It’s possible to pay by credit card, bank card or invoice. The customer may pay the order by choosing the methods of payment defined in the online store checkout.

Online Payment

You can pay your order directly through your internet bank if you are a customer of Nordea, the Cooperative Bank (OP), the Ålandsbank, the Handelsbank, the Danske Bank, the Savings Bank, the Oma Säästöpankki, the POP Bank, the Aktian or the S-Bank. When you opt for an online payment method, the total amount of your order will be charged directly to your account. All data transfer is secure and no outsider can see your data.

Card Payment

You can also pay by bank or credit card (Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Eurocard, JCB, Diners Club and American Express).

MobilePay

You can also pay on our online store with MobilePay-app.

Invoice or Payout Collector Bank

Paying with invoice or Payout Collector Bank, please note that you can not choose to invoice as a payment option if you do not enter your personal identity number at checkout.

5. Limitations of liability

The Lumous Story shall not be liable for any delays or defects that are caused by impediments beyond The Lumous Story’s control. These include without limitation industrial actions, changes in applicable mandatory legislation, delivery agents delays, technical problems, interruptions and force majeure. The seller is obliged to notify the customer without delay of any force majeure and cessation of the obstacle.

6. Return and refund policy

It is very important to us that you are satisfied with our products. However, if you are unsatisfied with the product, you have a 14 days return policy. Returned products must be unused, kept in good condition and must be in their original packaging. Use the original shipping package or similar packaging for returning carefully packed product. Please note that we do not accept products returned after a period of 14 days. 

If you cancel your order and want to return the product please contact us via e-mail at katja@thelumousstory.fi. Cancelling your order within 14 days you can return goods free of charge. We only accept returns via Post office.  When you hand it over to Post office to be delivered please note that you must keep the receipt so we can refund you the cost according to Post offices price. 

Also please note that we will charge 10€ if you fail to pick up your order.

7. Making a complaint

Under the Consumer Protection Act in Finland the buyer must notify the seller of the problem with the product within a reasonable time from noticing the defect of the product. It will be replaced by delivering a new item. If this is not possible, a price reduction or cancelling the order should be considered.

8. Warranty

The Lumous Story gives the customer a guarantee of the correctness of the product. Please note, however, that natural stones are minerals and their color and composition may vary individually. All products have at least a six month warranty under the Consumer Protection Act in Finland. The warranty does not apply to damage caused by incorrect storage or use.
